Brazen Theft On Campus: Student’s MacBook and More Stolen

The New City Collegian was informed of a brazen theft yesterday, Thursday the 28th, at SCCC.

Elman McClain, head of Campus Security, had this to say in an email about the incident:

“Good Afternoon,

This email is being sent as information and for your attention:

This morning [3-28-2013] (between 9am and 10:30 am) while a student was studying in the Science and Math Building (SAM) two 20ish dark skinned males ran by the table he was sitting at and took his Apple MacBook and Samsung Galaxy S2 cellular telephone.

The camera system in the building captured several frames of the subjects (attached).  If you should happen to see these individuals please contact the Campus Security Department @ 206.934.5442 or extension 5442.

Thank you and have a great Spring Quarter.”

We are looking into more details and will have them for you soon. This story is ongoing and will be updated with more information and images as we receive them.

UPDATE (4-2-2013): Below is a poster, found on the entrance door to the SAM building, detailing the theft and providing photographs. New City Collegian will be meeting as soon as possible with Campus Security to discuss this event, and to obtain higher quality images.
